Terms & Conditions

Booking Information

We kindly request that you keep to the booking time requested. Each workshop is booked for a set duration — please be ready to finish promptly at the end of your allotted time. If you’d like to extend your workshop booking, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Please note that we reserve the right to change our opening and closing times to suit business needs. Updates to our opening times are posted on our website and Google profile. By making a payment to Wick & Ceramic, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel or change your booking, please let us know at your earliest convenience. If you’ve booked and can’t make it, let us know at least 72 hours in advance and we’ll happily reschedule your session for a future date, subject to availability. Please note that bookings can only be rescheduled once. A 50% deposit should be paid to secure the workshop. Deposits are non-refundable outside of these times. In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking, we’ll offer you the choice to reschedule or receive a full refund. We also reserve the right to end a session early if equipment or materials are being misused — in such cases, no refund will be provided.

Risk Statement

At look what-made, the safety and well-being of everyone who participates in our workshop activities is our highest priority. Workshop activities involve the use of materials, tools, and equipment that can pose risks if not handled correctly. To mitigate these risks, we have established safety protocols and guidelines that are strictly enforced. Identified Risks and Mitigation Measures:

1. Clay, Glazes, and Chemicals:

• Risk: Skin irritation or accidental ingestion.

• Mitigation: Non-toxic, child-friendly materials are used, and children are instructed to avoid ingesting or touching their faces while working. Handwashing is mandatory after sessions

2. Tools and Equipment:

• Risk: Cuts, abrasions, or injuries from sharp or heavy tools. •

Mitigation: Children are only allowed to use age-appropriate tools under close supervision. Instructions are given on safe usage of all equipments.

 

3. Candle Wax

• Risk: Burns or exposure to high temperatures.

• Mitigation: Wax melting pot is kept in restricted area and participant staff are allowed to dispense wax if using protective gloves.load, unload,

 

4. Slippery Floors:

• Risk: Slips and falls from water or clay spills. Supervision and Training:

• Our staff are trained in health and safety protocols.

• Staff are experienced and ensure that proper guidance and supervision are provided at all times. Emergency Preparedness:

• First aid kits are available on-site, and at least one staff member trained in first aid is always present during sessions.

• Emergency contact information for parents/guardians is collected and easily accessible. By implementing these measures, we aim to create a safe, enjoyable, and creative environment for children to explore the art of pottery while minimising potential risks.
